Save the Children, UNICEF South Sudan and UNKEA representtives after signing the MoU in Juba

South Sudan President Salva Kiir Mayardit and ECW Executive Director Yasmine Sherif jointly announce multi-year education programme in Juba, calling on donors to scale up funding support for South Sudan and beyond.

RENK, South Sudan, 19 June 2023 –Thousands of displaced children on the South Sudanese side of the border with Sudan are at risk of deadly cholera outbreaks due to flooding and lack of adequate sewage systems, said Save the Children.

Kapoeta, South Sudan - Bishop Sisto Mazzoldi,  a faith-based primary school in Kapoeta South, Eastern Equatoria State, South Sudan is one of the five schools supported by Save the Children through funding from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA).

 Funded by European Union Humanitarian Aid, Save the Children distributed vegetable seeds to Mary and more than 600 others through the Mother-to-Mother support group that benefitted more than 3000 children.
