Save the Children and other implementing partners with funding from Global Partnership for Education (GPE) in partnership with the Ministry of General Education and Instruction have constructed and rehabilitated 22 primary and secondary schools in Jonglei, Warrap, Northern Bahr El Ghazal, Unity, Warrap, Lakes, Upper Niles States and Greater Pibor Admirative Area of South Sudan.

On Monday, 26th August 2024, Save the children and Stanbic Bank organized an international development group (IDG) roundtable discussion - focused on overcoming barriers for women's empowerment in South Sudan.

Save the Children trained 75 Agriculture Extension Advisors (AEA) to establish 75 farmer’s groups comprising of 25 members from each group, to increase food production and income in Eastern Equatoria State. More than 1,800 farmers are expected to benefit from the improved farming skills.
